POUCH BRANDING
A well conceived brand can make a pouch really sparkle. And help you sell.
Choose the method that best brands your business and creates free advertising impressions.
Check out our video (below) for full descriptions of our different branding options:
hot stamping, debossing, silk screening and heat transferring. Happy printing!
Heat Transferring
Heat transferring is our favorite type of branding. Why? Let's count the ways: it as close to perfect as a pouch print can be, multiple colors can be used, tiny details don't get lost in the pile of our luxury fabrics, and it's permanent!
The process:
-
You send us a copy of your logo - in color. PNG files are preferred.
-
We send you a digital proof of your logo on your pouch types and sizes
-
By computer, your logo is printed onto transfer paper (pictured right)
-
This logo is transferred onto your pouch fabric via heat
-
Costs: $50 for the logos, $0.50 per pouch

Silk Screening
Silk screening uses the same type of ink as heat transferring, but is applied, shall we say, in a more primitive way. Like heat transferring, silk screening is permanent, and we can screen one-color jobs in an unlimited number of colors. Not as precise as heat transferring. Permanent.
The process:
-
You send us a copy of your logo in black on white
-
We send you a digital proof of your logo on your pouch types and sizes
-
A blank silk screen is coated with a special emulsion
-
Your logo is (burned) into this emulsion
-
Your personal screen is mounted into a silk screen press (see John on the right) and ink is applied to the screen
-
The ink is pressed with a squeegee through the screen and onto your pouch fabric
-
Costs: $125 for the screen (reusable), $0.50 per pouch

Debossing
Debossing is a process where your logo is essentially "burned" into your fabric, much as a rancher would brand livestock (sorry, I could think of no better explanation!)
Because of the subtle-looking nature of a debossed image, large, bold logos are usually preferable, and some fabrics (the Luxury Fabrics) and colors (mid-tones) deboss better than others. In the event that a particular fabric, color or logo won't yield a good result, tone-on-tone heat transferring and silk screening can yield a similar effect. Debossing is permanent.
The process:
-
You send us a copy of your logo in black on white
-
We send you a digital proof of your logo on your pouch types and sizes
-
A debossing plate is ordered for your logo(s)
-
Your logo is placed into a stamping machine. With heat, dwell and pressure, you logo is debossed into your pouch fabric
-
Costs: $125 for the debossing plate (reusable), $0.30 per pouch

Hot Stamping
Hot stamping is our oldest type of pouch branding, and yields a clear, crisp and vibrant image on most pouch fabrics. This is the process that most pouch makers use.
Because fabrics do not "hold" hot stamps well, hot stamps are considered temporary, as they are prone to flaking when exposed to wear.
They are available in a variety of colors, including gold, silver, gunmetal, bronze, copper, black and white.
The process is the same as debossing, except that is thin piece of colored foil is place between your debossing plate and your fabric, yielding a hot stamped image.
Costs: $125 for the debossing plate (reusable), $0.30 per pouch
